Intro to Ashtanga Vinyasa: A Beginner’s Journey


This 7-week online course serves as an introduction to the basics of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, a dynamic and meditative practice that links breath with movement. You will learn how to breathe, move and focus in a way that connects you to your body and mind. No previous experience is required- just a willingness to explore. Step by step, we will uncover the structure of Half Primary series and prepare ourselves to enter the Mysore/Self practice space.

Course Details

Dates: Every Monday & Wednesday 20.30-22.00 (EEST), September 15 - October 29 2025

Format: Online, live Zoom guided classes

Language : The course will be taught in Greek and/or English

Who it’s for :

  • total beginners in Ashtanga

  • yogis/yoginis from other styles who want to explore Ashtanga

  • students wanting to start a home practice

  • anyone seeking a structured and meditative yoga method

What you will learn:

  • Understand the core elements of the Ashtanga practice : Ujjayi breath(rhythmic breathing), drishti(focused gaze), bandhas(internal energy locks)

  • Explore key standing and seated postures from the Primary Series, in a warm and inclusive setting, including safe modifications

  • Cultivate breath-movement coordination through guided vinyasa

  • Begin to feel confident to move forward into Led and Mysore-style classes

What you bring:

  • Intention for being open and curious

  • Yoga mat, yoga props(blocks, strap) are welcome

  • a camera and microphone

  • a quiet and personal space to practice
